Aromatic Heart 100x 80c m 2006 Mixed Media on Canvas
<芳心>
Aromatic Heart (芳心)
Let’s go for a romantic stroll in the mist of light rainfall for the art’s sake!
Breathe in and out of the crispy mountain air to pace yourself while meandering in the path covered by the Tung Flowers.
My long departed poetic soul was awakened by this heartrending scene of May Snow.
My inspiration suddenly emerged.
With brushes soaked with the white paint,
I indulged myself on the canvas.
The white flowers began to pile up to form an aromatic heart.
Then, I added a wisp of green as a branch.
Let the dialogues begin freely between
The obstinate and the gentle, and
The figurative and the abstract.

Dancing Iris 100x 80c m 2007 Mixed Media on Canvas
<飛鳶>
Dancing Irises(飛鳶)
It has been a long time since someone flirted with me like this.
Encountering you in this mountain mist
The gray chill of loneliness vanishes.
When sadness comes, go and admire the irises.
Look.
How the lovely purple flowers dance on their comely stalks;
Their green leaves freely sway to and fro.
Listen
As these petite flowers softly sing,
Slowly sharing tales of romance past and present.
They are my lovers whispering in the wind.
(Inspired by irises on the bank of my mountain pond.)

Garden in Moonlight
Measurement: 72.5 cm (h) x 91 cm (w) or 28.5" (h) x 35.8" (w)
Year: 2002
Type: Mixed media on canvas
Artist Statement:
In "Cow's Skull: Red, White, and Blue," one of Georgia O'Keeffe's most famous works, O’Keeffe repeated the composition of a bleached cow’s skull on a black pole, but with a background of azure folded into snowy white and supported on both sides with stripes of bright crimson. "Cow's Skull: Red, White, and Blue," is a startlingly emblematic painting of the American West, home to vast expanses and natural beauty. It gave me a lasting impression so strong that I could not forget.
In “Garden in Moonlight”, I borrowed the bright red as the opening curtains to present the magical reflection of my secret garden. As the moon cast silver light on my garden, the blue sky became a mirror, capturing not only the beauty of the roses but their fragrance as well.
